The VPON 550 - Features

The VPON 500 has many significant features that set it apart from the rest of its competitors. The most notable design feature is the innovative infrared remote control that operates the unit locally. Easily access all key functions, playback recorded video and audio (local playback only), set-motion detection; control PTZ cameras and even set-up your static or dynamic IP using the remote control. Plus, the IR remote control simplifies the entire set-up and installation process!
Remote viewing: Wherever you have access to a computer, you have total access to your VPON. Open up the computer browser, put in your password and you are instantly connected to your business or home. View what's happening live, communicate using the two-way audio and playback recorded video.
Dynamic IP's can be used as well with the unit. Whenever the IP changes, simply go to the VPON registry server to find your new IP or look at the digital display on the VP 500. The digital display serves as the system's self-diagnosis, continuously scrolling vital system information.
VPON offers a comprehensive and varied recording schedule. Cameras can be individually set-up to perform a different recording task independent of each other. Choose from continuous recording, motion detection or trigger events. Selecting the snapshot feature allows the unit to record snapshots every time motion detection or a trigger event is set off. This extremely flexible schedule gives the user a wide range of functionality for his changing needs.
Another unique innovative feature is the ability for the VP 500 to simultaneously connect using a direct dial-up and a LAN connection. This allows for a greater variation of set-up requirements.
