Exchange
The Exchange option is designed to simplify and reduce the costs of Exchange 2000 administration and is available in the Extended package. ESCare automates the process of collecting, analyzing and alerting on business-critical email issues before costly outages occur.
As with other ESCare services, Exchange delivers instant alerts on a sluggish email server, or Active Directory Platinum. Because Active Directory is critical to Exchange 2000, ESCare alerts on all Active Directory metrics. As an example, all logins, mailbox access, mail sending privileges, public folder access and creation, security, and authentication on an Exchange 2000 server are controlled via Active Directory.
Clients have one centralized view of the health of all monitored Microsoft Exchange servers, Active Directory metrics and hosted applications at local and remote sites.
Deliverables:
One central view of all business-critical Exchange servers
Proactively monitor the health of the SMTP server, including its queues and the speed at which it is processing data. Sudden increases in queue sizes and a drop in the number of processed message bytes could indicate congestion and that delivery times to clients are slowing
Track the impact user loads are having on your IS storage over time to ensure that intra-company mail is moving efficiently
Verify that POP3 and IMAP4 virtual servers are up and operating efficiently to ensure remote company users receive mail on a timely basis
Prevent mail queues from reaching maximum capacity and proactively identify bottlenecks that can cause server outages
Reports available via the Web from a secure site hosted by ESC
